Ben and Narelle Hurrey
Buyers who camped out for their slice of the City of Casey’s popular master-planned community, ‘Marriott Waters’, continue to count their lucky stars as land in the sought-after estate continues to increase in demand.
One couple that braved the elements to camp-out for their lot in the very first stage release more than two years ago, Ben and Narelle Hurrey, have not once regretted their sleepless wait for their home within the estate, from award winning developer Villawood Properties.
“We were given a round of applause from the staff when we were welcomed inside to sign the contract, before putting up our sold sticker on the stage board and standing in our block where our future home would be built – and we still have our laminated number one ticket from that day,” Mr Hurrey said.
Since their lucky scoop as the first buyers into the estate, the couple has celebrated an engagement, sold their home in Seaford, juggled building their dream home with planning a wedding and enjoying a well-earned honeymoon before finally getting the keys to their new home six months ago.
“Being one of the first people to move in, we have literally watched the neighbourhood grow around us which is very exciting … and now we are surrounded by heaps of other families who have settled in like us.
“We are just so proud of how far we have come, the array of facilities which will be available to us, coupled with watching the wetlands and wildlife mature around us, just cements that we have made the right choice to buy at Marriott Waters,” Mr Hurrey said.
Both avid gardeners, the Hurrey’s cite the plentiful access to recycled water as another key influence in their decision to secure their land at the first given opportunity.
“The availability of recycled water was another huge advantage to us, as we love growing our own vegetables so we are over the moon that we can now use recycled water all through summer.”
“ The intranet has been another wonderful tool for getting to know our neighbours, and we have found everyone to be so helpful with advice through the discussion forums.
“Villawood has also made sure the future residents feel in the loop, posting construction timelines and news updates regularly,” Mr Hurrey said.
