Landscaping works to Boland Drive have been delayed due to wet weather. These works will continue as soon as weather permits and will include the continuation of planting in the garden beds and trees throughout the centre median strips and planting of the street trees on nature strips.

Plans have been finalised for Lyndhurst Local Park located on Boland Drive which will include extensive trees, grassed areas, a picnic shelter with barbeque facilities and a children’s play area. Works have been delayed by inclement weather but we are expecting to commence construction in the latter months of 2010.

Landscaping of the second wetland is now completed. Aquatic plants are developing well, embankments are beginning to display lush green grass and terrestrial plants are flourishing. The wetlands are set to explode with vibrant growth in the coming months of Spring.

Plans are being finalised for the bridge crossing on Brookwater Parade across the wetlands which will include a viewing area. This area will offer residents a tranquil space to enjoy the view of the thriving wetlands.

Construction of the third wetland body is due to commence as soon as weather permits, around October 2010.

Stay tuned for more construction updates to come!
