Oliver Zimmerman - Lot 308
Oliver Zimmerman was so eager to purchase his chosen allotment, he camped out for one week prior to the stage’s release.
“We wanted a waterfront allotment, so when we heard people were already in line, we got down there quick smart.
“The first few nights some of us slept on the floor of the sales office, but then we moved to our cars for the rest of the week. It wasn’t the most comfortable I have ever been, but it was worth it in the end.
“There were a few of us that camped out for the entire week, so by the release we got to know some people quite well. During that time we met our future neighbours, which we get along with great.
“We initially were looking at established homes, however when we saw the difference in building we opted for building, so we could get exactly what we wanted.
“Living in Elwood at the moment, you just can’t get the value for money needed for a family home. We wanted the big house and big backyard, which you can’t get at a good price there.
“In our opinion Marriott Waters offers a great mix of things for us. The overall concept is great, with the residents club and the wetlands, parks and streetscapes. But also the location; we are in good proximity to the Peninsula and the beach plus I work in East Burwood, so it will be convenient to get to work.
